Dear Families,
Star of the Week: Please look at the schedule, right
hand side of the blog, to see when it is your child's turn to be Star. If the
week I have chosen doesn't work for you, please let me know and we can change
it. There is lots of flexibility with the program so feel free to change the
activities to best suit you. Have fun!!!
Language Arts: Our Houghton Mifflin story this week
will be a fiction story based on reality that will help us make predictions,
predict and infer.
Grammar: We will focus more on verb endings
this week; s, es, and ing. This will help writing in the past, future and
present tenses and I hope to see them incorporated into the students' writing
soon.
Word Wall Words: Your children will learn new word
wall words each week and together we will put them on our Word Wall. Listed
below are the word wall words from Kindergarten. It is my hope that you will
make a word wall at home or make flashcards to practice daily with your child.
This will help your child with reading, writing, and spelling.
