Dear Fabulous First Grade Families,

How cute were the kids in our Frog and Toad play? We had so much fun. I am so proud of all of their hard work!

Well this is it! This is the last blog entry of the school year! Can you believe that in one week your child will be a second grader?! It is a very exciting time and I am beyond proud of all your child's hard work and accomplishments.  I really appreciated all of your help and support throughout the year!!!

Have a great summer together reading lots of good books, writing stories, practicing math skills and playing outside!

Dear Families,

Thank you so much for spoiling me during this special teachers' week. It was so nice to be treated to a latte every day this week! Wow! I LOVED it all!

Open House: We can't wait to see ALL OF YOU at Open House this Thursday, May 16th. We have been working hard on all of our projects to show you.

Math: We are still working in Engage New York's Module 6: Place Value, Comparison, Addition and Subtraction to 100. We will begin working with Fact Families next week. fact family is a group of math facts using the same numbers.  For example, you can form a fact family using the three numbers 10, 2, and 12: 10 + 2 = 12, 2 + 10 = 12,
12 − 10 = 2, and 12 − 2 = 10.
