Dear Families,

Halloween: Our Rio del Mar School Parade is at 8:30. We hope to see you all there! We will have our class party from 11:00-12:00. Look for a sign up sheet from our room mom soon.

Language Arts: Our Houghton Mifflin story this week will be a fiction story based on reality that will help us make predictions, predict and infer.

Grammar:  We will focus and verb endings this week; s, es, and ing. This will help writing in the past, future and present tenses and I hope to see them incorporated into the students' writing soon.

Writer's Workshop: Ask your children about their story because we are in full swing writing a personal narrative looking at a small moment in our lives and the BIG THING THAT HAPPENED during that small moment.

Word Wall Words: Your children will learn new word wall words each week and together we will put them on our Word Wall. Listed below are the word wall words from Kindergarten. It is my hope that you will make a word wall at home or make flashcards to practice daily with your child. This will help your child with reading, writing, and spelling.
